Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of this course is to give an overview of the existing theoretical explanations of the existence and organization of the international firm:Hymer and Kindlerberger theory, diversification theory, product life cycle theory, appropriation and transaction cost theory, internationalization theory, eclectic theory, network theory, resource-based and organizational capabilities theory, institutional theory, power theory, and innovation-based perspectives.The class is mainly based on lectures and literature discussion.
Assessment and permitted materials
Exam for which you have to register separately via univis (look in Cluster WIWI Prüfungen).
