Aims, contents and method of the course

Thereby IT-systems can be used effectively in companies, it is not enough to look at them individually, they have to be integrated in several ways.
Whether on-premises architecture or modern cloud platforms - in the context of use, processes in which the IT-systems are used, the resulting or acquired data, but also the IT-systems among themselves, typically have to be considered.

UK IBIS 2 deepens the basics from UK IBIS 1:
- IT systems
- Cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Integration
- Data processing and analysis

as well as clarification of the following concepts and terms:
- IT project management
- Agile (software development)
- Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Web 2.0 / 3.0, Social Media, Semantic Web, IoT
- CRM systems / complaint management and processes

Developing an understanding of the interdependencies with the associated risks but also the contained economic potential.
In the course an entrepreneurial case study is dealt with, which is intended to discuss the potentials and problems of digitization.

- Technical discussion at the end(50%)
- Case study (30 %)
- Programming task (20%)

The course is classified and run as “continuous assessment” course; in this respect there is compulsory attendance! i.e. 2 missing units (teaching lessons), with the exception of practical course unit(s)!; Further excuses will NOT be accepted! If you stay away from the course more often, the assessment will be the grad 5.
