Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is aimed at introducing students to the best practices of experimental economics. Students participate in computerized lab experiments on selected topics and learn how results of these experiments help answering important research questions. The following topics are covered:
1. Eliciting individual characteristics
2. Eliciting social preferences
3. Testing game theory
4. Labor market experiments
5. Asset market experiments

Assessment and permitted materials

The grade has the following three components:
1. Participation in class experiments - 20 points;
2. Experimental paper presentation - 15 points;
3. Project presentation (in groups of two or individual) - 20 points;
4. Participation in the discussion of other projects - 10 points;
5. Project submission (in groups of two or individual) - 35 points.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The following grading scale is used:
90-100 points: 1
80-89 points: 2
70-79 points: 3
50-69 points: 4
<50 points: 5

Examination topics

There is no exam in this course.
