Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course students approach organization theory from different perspectives by reading famous texts from organization scholars. By studying different theories, such as micro-economic theories of the organization, behaviouristic theories, ecological theories, or cognitive-symbolic theories as well as post-modern and feministic theories, students receive alternative explanations to basic questions of organization theory: What are organisations?, Why do they emerge?, How do they look like? etc. The course is taught in German; however, some of the assigned literature is in English. Therefore, a high level of English proficiency is required for successful participation in this course.
