Continuous assessment of course work

Professor Rajan Varadarajan, Distinguished Professor of Marketing, holder of the Ford Chair in Marketing and E-Commerce, Head of the Department of Marketing at Texas A&M University, and ex-editor of the Journal of Marketing and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science will be participating in the Seminar and provide feedback on the PhD students' dissertation projects.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Discussion of PhD dissertation projects in marketing and strategy at different stages of development (from topic choice, through conceptualization and execution, to completion and publication). Exposure to different research approaches and experiences.

Provision of individualized feedback and guidance on PhD dissertation projects conducted within the broad areas of marketing and strategy. The main aim is to improve the quality, potential impact, and publication possibilities of PhD dissertations.

Seminar is based on interaction between PhD students and experienced faculty members. Participants will be expected to make a presentation of their dissertation projects (the content and emphasis of which will reflect the stage at which they currently are). The projects will then be discussed in a ¿round-table¿ format to provide constructive feedback and suggestions.
