Aims, contents and method of the course

Intercultural competencies are getting more and more important for business activities because of steadily growing worldwide export rates, tha fact that more and more companies go international, multicultural organisations, and a multicultural workforce.
Contents:
Introduction into intercultural communication, culture-bound concepts of time, space, value orientations, leadership styles, work-motivation and styles of negotiation, analysis of intercultural conflicts in business situations, discussion of possible solutions

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Deeper understanding of intercultural conflicts, acquisition of intercultural competencies

Examination topics

Lectures, work in small groups, role plays, culture-simulation games, analysis of short film examples
