Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Introduction to the functioning of financial markets on an advanced (i.e. master) level. The course starts with individual financial decisions under uncertainty with explicit consideration of behavioral regularities. This allows the analysis of portfolio choice for loss averse investors. The second pillar is asset pricing in market equilibrium. After a short review of the standard symmetric information CAPM and Fama-French factor models, modern theories are discussed that explicitly introduce market microstructure noise and liquidity risk.
