Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The majority of supply chain planning approaches assumes risk neutral decision makers. Based on recent research contributions, the seminar focuses on the impact of risk aversion and risk management on traditional supply chain planning and coordination problems
Assessment and permitted materials
Seminar paper (15-20 pages) (45%), presentation (45%), discussion (10%)
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The objective of the seminar is to equip the participants with the necessary skill and tools for a successful master thesis project. Specifically, the aim is to read and understand recent research contributions in the field of supply chain management, to do own literature research on the assigned topic, to structure the material and pursue interesting research questions, and to write a paper.
Examination topics
Each participant will be assigned a specific research topic and then research available literature on this to write a 15-20 pages paper that describes the problem and solution approaches. The paper is submitted one week prior to the presentation of the topic. Each participant will be assigned as a discussant to another presentation. It is the discussant¿s responsibility to wrap-up the presentation and moderate the discussion.
