Aims, contents and method of the course
Numerical methods for ordinary differential equations (explicit and implicit discretization, stability, consistency, Runge-Kutta methods) and partial differential equations (weak and variational formulations, finite elements)

Acquaintance and understanding of the most commonly used numerical methods for differential equations

Numerical analysis (e.g. stability + consistency -> convergence), implementation with MATLAB
