Aims, contents and method of the course

The goal of this course is to teach the knowledge and skills needed for enabling the development of and operation of secure applications and infrastructures needed to establish a secure digital economy. As part of the course a cyber exercise will be developed and conducted.

Assessment and permitted materials

During the semester several assignments have to be submitted and a cyber exercise will be arranged. At the end of the semester an exam will be held.

The marking scheme will be as follows:

89 <= P <= 100 Sehr Gut (1)

76 <= P < 89 Gut (2)

63 <= P < 76 Befriedigend (3)

50 <= P < 63 Genügend (4)

0 <= P < 50 Nicht Genügend (5)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a positive mark the minimum requirements are a presence of at least 80% and a combined mark of at least 50 points. These points can be achieved through the case study assignments (30 points), the cyber exercise (40 points) and the exam (30 points). The cyber exercise protocol is part of the exam (10 points).

Examination topics

The exam is based on the content taught in the lectures and on the case study assignments.
