Aufgrund der Anpassung des Lehrangebots an das neue Curriculum startet die KFK Semantische IS nunmehr jeweils im Sommersemester. Daher findet die "UE Anwendungen aus semantischen Technologien" im Sommersemester und die "VU Semantische Technologien" im Wintersemester statt.Im Studienjahr 2016/17 kann die KFK Semantische IS als Übergangslösung für Studierende des auslaufenden Curriculums mit der "UE Anwendungen aus semantischen Technologien" im WS begonnen und im darauffolgenden SS mit der "VU Semantische Technologien" abgeschlossen werden.

Assessment and permitted materials
Individual or team-based realization of practical topics in the areas of semantic information systems.4 Submissions are required:
1. Conceptualization of a semantic information system 20%
2. Prototype 20%
3. Implementation 40%
4. Deployment/validation of system performance 20%The submissions have to be made electronically via the e-learning platform. The presentations have to be given orally within the course at fixed dates.Attendance is mandatory.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
For a positive evaluation of the course more than 50% have to be reached at minimum. The grading scale is defined as follows: >50% - 62,5%: Genügend; >62,5% - 75%: Befriedigend; >75% - 87,5%: Gut; >87,5%: Sehr Gut
Examination topics
The examination via the 4 required submissions is based on topics from this course, from the preceding course "VU Semantische Technologien", and from the gatekeeper module "Knowledge Engineering".
