Aims, contents and method of the course

The LV will show to what extent midrash serves as a basis for halakha and where and when haggadic material is incorporated. The importance of midrash as a source of religious law will be explored. Haggadic sources will be interrogated for their relation to halakha and vice versa.

preparing of source texts, reading in Hebrew, interpreting of texts
control:
Seminar: 25 points max. working during the lectures
moderation: 25 points max.
seminar work: 50 points max

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

• not more than 2 Absences,
seminar work
• 81-100 points = 1.
• 61-80 points = 2.
• 41-60 points = 3.
• 21-40 points = 4.
• 0-20 points = 5.
