Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students should learn about methods and scientific approaches to the literature of early Judaism (until the end of late antiquity) and learn to deal with them. They will become familiar with important source texts, editions, digital copies, synopses, etc. The PS offers an introduction to the common practice of interpretation from historical-critical analysis to canon-oriented and literary-scientific methods.

Assessment and permitted materials

analysis of texts, two presentations and a short proseminar paper at the end

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

seminar work
• 81-100 points = 1.
• 61-80 points = 2.
• 41-60 points = 3.
• 21-40 points = 4.
• 0-20 points = 5.
