Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The literature of ancient Judaism is among the treasures of its cultural heritage und froms an important part of the world's culture. With the Hebrew Bible, Judaism presented the world with a canon of religious literature and coined not only Judaism but also Christianity and Islam. The course will introduce to literary history of key texts from ancient Judaism. Special attention will be given to the Hebrew Bible and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
