Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The Theban Tombs are offering rich source materials and information about life and imaginations of the Ancient egyptians. The tombs and specifically the decoration of the tombs will be studied. The scenes are investigated in terms of layout, contents, style and technical details.
To achive basic knowledge about the development of the decoration in the tombs
to recognize scenes and to improve the knowledge of source materials and publications, as well as the interpretation of scenes.

Assessment and permitted materials

Die Leistungen des Proseminars gliedern sich in folgende Punkte:
1. Abfassung eines Exposés zum gewählten Thema
2. Mündliches Referat zum gewählten Thema
3. Schriftliche Arbeit zum gewählten Thema
4. Anwesenheit und Mitarbeit (Diskussionen, Fristen, Feedback etc.) sind Grundlagen für die erfolgreiche Absolvierung der Veranstaltung.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

oral presentation 30%; script 30%; test at the end of the term 30%; constant participation 10%
