Aims, contents and method of the course

The Hebrew Bible - called the Old Testament in the Christian Churches - represents not only the religious fundament of both Judaism and Christianity but documents religious developments and concepts which influence the Judeo-Christian world even today. This reading class will help students to discover this important literature by way of readings selected texts in their original language.
