Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The Egyptian temple is a center of culturall-religious and economic acitiviteis and interests. The buildings, the architecture and the decoration of the buildings, or other inscribed sources provide a large amount of material to obtain information about the development of the buildings, the cultruall activities of the economic function of a temple. Material from the Old Kingdom until the Ptolemaic period is available. archaeological, art historical and text related topics will be provided, acc. the interest of the participants.
Assessment and permitted materials
Inscription via UNIVIS; the presence in the first unit to confirm the participation is a must. Deregistration (only accepted in written form to the course teacher or the secretary via e-mail) is only possible until the third unit. later deregistaration is exclusively possible under unpredictable circumstances.Presence in the course is obligatory (only one unit can be missed), except because of unpredictable circumstances. in case of justified absence the course teacher is entitled to ask for compensation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
To deepen the knowledge of independent scientific research, and to develop systemaitic processes and to reinforce the abilities of critical observation and discours of source materials. Literature has to be prepared individiual, in order to gain scientific knowledge.
Examination topics
Exposé (incl. literature), oral presentation (incl. handout), written paper, as well as active participation in the course is obligatory.

Basic literature will be provided in the first unit. Individual research is obligatory.
