The course is planned for 2 hours, within two weeks.
course starts on 26th of March, because of a field mission in egypt until mid March. An additional date is therefore planned for Friday, May 10th.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is dealing with the Nubian cultures, the region between the First and Fourth Nile cataract (today southern part of Egypt and northern Sudan). The local cultures, from Prehistory until the 1st Millenium B.C. will be examined according the archaeologcial records; furthermore the Egyptian activities and monuments in the area will beconsidered.
The participants shall gain knowledge about the Nubian cultures and shall be aible to evaluate and to discuss objects and monuments in a scientific frame.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A minimum of 50% of the answers is necessary for a positive evaluation.
