Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Lehrveranstaltung umfasst eine profunde Einführung in die historische Entwicklung der theoretischen Grundlagen der Archäologischen Stratigraphie als Ausgangspunkt für eine umfassende Auseinandersetzung mit dem state-of-the-art. Die grundlegenden theoretischen Konzepte und deren Anwendung werden aufbauend auf einer umfassenden Zusammenstellung der verbalen und mathematisch/logischen Definitionen der Methode der Archäologischen Stratigraphie erarbeitet. Im praktischen Teil der VU werden in Einzelarbeit mit der Software HMC+ komplexe stratigraphische Sequenzen erstellt und Phasen und Periodeneinteilungen vorgenommen. In Gruppenarbeiten werden ausgewählte Stratifikationen in periodisierten stratigraphischen Sequenzen dargestellt und verbal beschrieben. In den Gruppen werden Multimedia-Präsentationen erstellt, die bei einer internationalen Konferenz eingereicht werden können.
