Aims, contents and method of the course

Based on the seminar "Construction and Reflection of Archaeological Cultures of the Prehistoric Balkans" different sites, museums and depots in Bosnia and Serbia will be visited. In consideration of the archaeological material culture the knowledge acquired in the seminar can be directly deepened on-site. The introduction by local experts and the visit of different regional and national museums will enable an examination of the prehistoric Balkans and different presentation methods of archaeological cultures. A special focus is on current research and excavations, the latest results of which can be discussed on site.
The excursion is expected to last 8 days in June 2019.
