Aims, contents and method of the course

Children and young people today naturally grow up in a digital world. Digital media can also help support teaching and learning in lessons.. In this blocked seminar students develop understanding and competence in dealing with digital media as part of the GSPB lessons. Discussion about the impact of digital media on historical learning and/or civic education.
Content: Theoretical contributions to media theory in the digital age; Getting to know current digital tools for historical teaching in class, developing practical contributions for the use of digital media in class. Historical narratives are discussed and excursions are undertaken.
Methodology: Presentations, group work, portfolio, evaluation and reflection of tasks. Learning platform: Moodle.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation, creation of a portfolio with theoretical and practical contributions on the use of digital media in GSPB teaching, implementation of digital media in lesson planning, participation in excursions, creation of excursion reports

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Compulsory attendance, active participation in discussions, punctual preparation of contributions, presentation of contributions, peer feedback,
Implementation of lesson planning and reflection, participation in excursions and writing excursion reports.
Submit a portfolio including a table of contents and sources.

Exam-immanent coursed and submission of a portfolio (see above)
