Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Acquisition of knowledge of the methods, theories and content of gender history related to the topic "Gender and Work" in a European perspective from the Middle Ages to contemporary history.
Assessment and permitted materials
Preparation in the run-up to the summer school by means of a reader provided with compulsory literature; active participation in the summer school: attending of lectures and seminars; presentation of own research (e.g. MA-thesis) or an essay
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Active participation in the discussions of lectures and seminars (30%), and, alternatively (70%):
either presentation of own research (including a written exposé, length: in English approx. 6000 words / in German 40,000 characters) or
a written essay (length: in English approx. 3000 words / in German 20,000 characters) discussing a specific topic covered at the summer school (including additional secondary literature, i.e. 2-3 articles or a book, apart from the required reading on the selected topic).
The written assignments need to be uploaded to the submission folder on Moodle by the end of September at the latest.
