Aims, contents and method of the course

The lectures:
1. the question if prejudices as it appeared at the time of Enlightenment
2. The concept of prejudices 1-. The broad concept as presented by Gadamer in his book "Truth and Method" (Wahrheit und Methode) in Part II, Chapter 1 "The hermeneutic circle and the problem of prejudices".
3. The concept of prejudices 2. The concrete concept of prejudices as we understand it now. Part I, chapters 2 and 3, Part IV, chapter 15, the whole part VII. Terror.
4. Race and class prejudices. From Arendt "The Origins of Totalitarianism" Part I chapters 2 and 3 on Anti-Semitism, Part two chapter 6, on race thinking before racism, Part three (totalitarianism) chapter 13 On ideology and terror.
5. The prejudices against women. From Simone de Beauvoir: "The second sex" Introduction and Part II. "Practices", and Part III. on the independent woman
6. Sexual prejudices. M. Foucault: The history of Sexuality I( part (the whole book)
7. Philosophical prejudices. Nietzsche Götzendammerung (the whole book.)
