Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The title of this seminar is "From the Vikings to the Hanse. The North and the Baltic Sea during the Middle Ages". It is meant to treat Scandinavia and the countries around the Baltic Sea and their political, cultural, social and economic development during the Middle Ages.

Papers presented orally, participation in the debates, written essays

Deepened knowledge of the problems of this theme, the sources of and the historiography over it

Preparatory meetings, papers presented orally by the participants at the block at the Seminar Center of the Monastery Zwettl NÖ November18th to 21st, 2013, discussions
