Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture course will offer an overview of the history of the "long" 19th century, in which attention shall be paid to all parts of the globe in their various connections.
Assessment and permitted materials
One written assignment during the semester comprising 6-8 pages (20 %), continuous work producing summaries/definitions/tests (20 %), participation in discussions and the tutorial (20%), final written test (90 minutes, with questions concerning knowledge and understanding) (40%)

Broad basic knowledge and orientation transcending specific regions and perspectives about the general History of Late Modern Times with due regard to political, social, economic, and gender aspects
Cognizance of crucial questions and topics of the History of Late Modern Times
Critical Cognizance of divers theories and narratives of Late Modern Times
Cognizance of basic sources of the History of Late Modern Times
Basic cognizance about the repertory of the History of Late Modern Times
Basic knowledge about the position of the History of Late Modern Times within the Historical Science and about its history
