Aims, contents and method of the course

The lectures offer a new insight into the European history of the Pre-March Period (1815-1848) from Austria’s perspective. Some traditional myths will be refuted through selected topics concerning the history of Europe and the Near East and particularly Metternich and ‘his Austria’.
