Aims, contents and method of the course
historically oriented though analytical introduction to Microeconomic theory; problems discussed are: microeconomic problems of classical theory, division of labour, law of variable proportions , theory of rent, malthusian population theory, explanation of relative prices, labour cost theories, marginal revolution, neoclassical theory, theory of the consumer, theory of the firm, atomistic competition, monopoly, oligopoly

regular attendance; students are required to prepare written answers to questions referring to problems discussed at one particular meeting and hand them in before that meeting takes place.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
historically oriented though analytical introduction to Microeconomic theory; diligent and interested students will learn to understand basic microeconomic problems and theories as well as their historical background, their development and explanatory power.
Examination topics
Teaching consists of one unbroken 45 minute seminar weekly. Students are required to read and prepare the literature provided for every meeting and on that basis prepare written answers to questions distributed previously. Also, they are required to contribute in a lively manner to discussions at all classes.
