The Graduate College Global History supports students in writing their Master's thesis or in developing ideas for such a Master's thesis in the Master Curriculum "Globalgeschichte" and in the Erasmus Mundus Master-Program "Global Studies". The Graduate College will support students in conceptualizing, planning, and writing their Master's thesis (choice of topic, theoretical approaches, methods, structure, search for and critique of literature and sources). It will also offer the opportunity to present preliminary results, to discuss these results, and to exchange information. Attendance during the summer semester is obligatory both for second and first year students of the Erasmus Mundus Program!
Didactics: Seminar style, students will be involved in planning and organization. Regular attendance starting from March 5, 2007 as well as punctual fulfilment of all assignments is mandatory. Further meetings: March 26, April 16 and 30, May 14, June 11 and 25, 2007 plus one meeting (on special arrangement) at a scientific lecture or similar event. The meeting on May 14, 2007, will be dedicated to a workshop on the topic "Jewish Perspectives on Peace in Middle East" with Marc H. Ellis (Professor for American and Jewish Studies at Baylor University at Waco, Tx).
