Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar, though focused mainly on the Palestinian Nakbah, also studies its multifaceted effects on the rest of the Arab World. It relates state building activities in Palestine with the historical background in Europe, the Ottoman Empire and the Interwar Protectorates in the Middle East.
Assessment and permitted materials
Active participation, seminar paper on a chosen topic, oral presentation and discussion in class.
