Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The main emphasis is laid on deepening the acquired knowledge and skills of the studies with special focus on the description and analysis of medieval artworks in Vienna.
For a successful completion of the course all appropriate tasks (attendance, presentation, handout, active participation and discussion) must be performed and a positive assessment must be achieved.

In this course selected medieval art monuments of Vienna (architecture, sculpture and painting) will be examined, analyzed and discussed.After completion of the course students should be able to- do scientific analyses of medieval artworks in Vienna in front of originals
- understand and use the basics of scientific work
- present the outcomes of the research in a presentation (+ handout)
- involve scientific literature on the subject
