080039 SE Course: Practical Applications (2025S)

This seminar is designed for students working on their MA thesis under my supervision, with a primary focus on research methodology. Throughout the course, each of you will have the opportunity to present your project and receive constructive feedback from the group. These presentations, lasting 5 to 10 minutes, may offer a broad overview of your research or highlight specific challenges you are encountering.
Beyond presentations, we will engage in critical text readings, discussions, and museum visits, fostering a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. The aim is to create a supportive space where we can not only refine our research but also openly discuss uncertainties and obstacles, strengthening both our individual work and collective academic growth. A diverse array of methodological approaches will be introduced and examined to identify the most effective tools for addressing our research questions. The objective is to construct a well-founded argument, rooted in a solid hypothesis and supported by rigorous data collection. This process will enable us to enhance the depth and impact of our research and academic contributions. Active engagement is encouraged at every stage.
