The lecture on History of Ornament is supposed to offer orientation to students in the field. The main goal of the lecture is to give a well founded outline on the development of European ornament from the Medievals up to the 20th century. The students should learn to use the knowledge about ornament as a basic means when dealing with Decorative Arts and when working as an art historian for preservation and buidling research when clarifying an object¿s date and provenance.
