Aims, contents and method of the course
In recent years, it has become clear that, in the words of Hans Belting. "it makes sense that contemporary art, in many cases, is understood as synonymous with global art." What are the consequences of this for contemporary museums?
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance required at all sessions, actice participation in discussion and group work, oral and written contributions
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aim of this course is to get a grasp of the complexities of contemporary discourse on museums and globalisation, as well as to start developing and arguing one's own position towards this topic.
Examination topics
Analysis of texts, discussion, workshopping, developing ones' own perspective via oral and written contributions. Museum visits, Emphasis on practice.
