Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ever since the St. Gall plan was created it has been preserved in the Monastic library of St. Gall with the signature Ms 1092. Few years ago the manuscript was photographed in high resolution. In order to make access to the full detail practical over the internet for the scientific community, pan/zoom renderings were created. This technique allows controlling the engravings, corrections, drawings, and the detailed inscriptions. Such an analysis helps to understand the context of producing the plan.
