Aims, contents and method of the course

The series of lectures will present different examples which elucidate the significance of architectural typology in medieval christian church architecture. It will refer on the hermeneutical process to decipher architectural codes and the motivation of architectural copies during the Middle Ages..

Evaluation by means of written test in front of slides

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The lectures will not only give a theroretical view of the relevant material but will encourage the students to pursuit further investigations.

Examination topics

The contents will be presented in powerpoint conferences.
