Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will focus on central parts of art historical work in the museum and discuss its theoretical foundation. Main topics are forms of presentation in the picture gallery (both, historic and contemporary), conservation history, collections care, scientific research a.o. Colleagues from the Kunsthistorisches Museum who work in different areas (registrars, restorers, teachers, exhibition management) will present their tasks.
