Examination topics
Students individually write an essay of 4-5 pages dedicated to a problematic of the lecture series and argue with the literature discussed.

In addition to content-related discussions on the general topic of "European Capital of Culture, Olympic Games, World's Fair. Social transformation through large-scale projects", to which speakers from various disciplines and locations are invited, the colloquium also offers the opportunity for ongoing presentations and discussions master's and doctoral theses as well as research projects at the Institute for European Ethnology.The institute colloquium is an interdisciplinary forum for dialogue on selected topics.
