Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to the work of Louis Marin (1931-1992) from an art historical point of view.

Assessment and permitted materials

Discussions, oral presentations, papers.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course aims at fostering the students' competences in reading theoretical texts, analysing works of art and devolping art historical arguments.

Examination topics

Each participant prepares an oral presentation on a chosen topic and (hopefully) writes a well researched and argued paper of about 15 pages (with footnotes).
