Aims, contents and method of the course

Critiques of linear perspective in modern (mostly twentieth century) art.

Assessment and permitted materials

Discussions, oral presentations, papers.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course aims at fostering the students' competences in reading theoretical texts, analysing works of art and devolping art historical arguments. Each participant prepares an oral presentation on a chosen topic and (hopefully) writes a well researched and argued paper of about 15 pages (including footnotes).
