Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Dionysios Solomos, einer der großen europäischen Dichter des 19. Jahrhunderts und als "Nationaldichter" führend im literarischen Kanon Griechenlands, wird trotz Erneuerungsimpulse der Solomos-Forschung und Übersetzungen immer weniger rezipiert. In diesem Seminar steht er im Mittelpunkt vor allem als zweisprachiger Autor (italienisch/ griechisch) mit einer komplexen Texttradition, die bis heute HerausgeberInnen, KommentatorInnen, ÜbersetzerInnen und LeserInnen vor Rätseln stellt. Der Fokus liegt auf Editionsmethoden vor und nach der Digitalisierung und auf der Kontextualisierung von Editionskonzepten in der jeweiligen literaturhistorischen und kritischen Landschaft.

Assessment and permitted materials

Prüfungsimmanente Lehrveranstaltung, Lektüre in der Gruppe, Referat, schriftliche Arbeit.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Englisch und Deutsch werden vorausgesetzt, Griechisch von Vorteil. Anwesenheitspflicht, regelmäßige Vorbereitung und Diskussionsteilnahme, Lektüre, Kurztexte und Impulsreferate, Referat (30-45 Min.) 60%; schriftliche Arbeit am Ende des Semesters, etwa 6000 Wörter, 40%.

Veränderungen in der Editionskritik vor und nach der Digitalisierung; Editionsmethoden und Textlesbarkeit; Solomos: Leben und Werk.
