Aims, contents and method of the course
The metres and rhythms of Ancient Greek poetry in theory and practice
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentation in groups of 2-4 students; written test at the end:recognising rhythms and verses; oral exam: reading verse. The last two need to be both positive.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Recognising and defining the important rhythms of Ancient Geek poetry and their internal structure; reading the most common spoken verses rhythmically.
