Aims, contents and method of the course

Research presentation (50%); participation in the discussion, on the basis of preparatory readings of 20 to 30 pages (50%). In addition, students are expected to attend lectures and conferences offered by the Department for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and elsewhere.

Critical engagement with current research in all sub-disciplines of Byzantine studies

Examination topics

Short presentations, accompanied by preparatory reading and extensive discussion.
