Aims, contents and method of the course

Der katalanische Regisseur Bigas Luna, der im April 2013 verstarb, hinterlässt ein facettenreiches filmisches Werk, das es im Rahmen dieses Proseminars zu entdecken gilt. Dabei ist die Lehrveranstaltung nicht als Hommage an den Filmemacher gedacht – vielmehr sollen seine Werke, die oftmals groteske Überhöhungen bzw. Unterwanderungen des „typisch Spanischen“ aufweisen, Räume für den analytisch-kritischen Umgang mit Filmprodukten eröffnen, die auch der Einübung und Festigung der erworbenen Kenntnisse hinsichtlich Analysemodellen und Methoden medienwissenschaftlichen Arbeitens dienen werden.
