Aims, contents and method of the course

Class in Romanian, English, German

-This seminar proposes the analysis of representative historical films and their specificities;
-The analysis of cinematographic methods and the cultural importance of film will be the main objectives;
-The effects of propaganda in the Romanian historical film will also be followed;
-The starting question of the seminar is: "How did propaganda manage to change art?"

Assessment and permitted materials

Analytical written and oral exam at the end of the semester based on one of the film-history-propaganda relationships in the syllabus.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

-Reading of compulsory texts (history, film theory, propaganda), ppt, theoretical texts proposed for analysis;
-Analyzing the films proposed in the course using specific tools;
-KnowleBenotungsschema:
90-100%: 1
80-89%: 2
70-79%: 3
60-60%: 4
< 60% nicht bestandendge the historical framework of each film in the program.

Examination topics

Active analysis of films, interpretation and understanding of genre;
Understanding the concepts of 'propaganda' and those of memory and myth;
Problematizing, critical and comparative thinking.
