Aims, contents and method of the course

Know the society and current affairs of the Latin American countries.
The course has 5 blocks.
- History of societies. formation of the current countries.
- Society: demography and population.
- Culture.
- Geography an Landscape.
- Economy of Latin America.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous assessment.
writing two written papers (30+60 points), and oral presentation (10 points)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Completion of the StEOP and the VO of the module Landeswissenschaft.
Distribution of the final grade:
90-100=1 / 81-89=2 / 71-80=3 / 60-70=4 / 0-59=5
Writting papers: In order to ensure good scientific practice, the course organizers can invite students to a note-relevant discussion after handing in the term paper, which has to be completed positively.
End writting paper = There will be a maximum delivery date that is mandatory to respect.

Examination topics

It will be released on the first day of class and Moodle.
