Aims, contents and method of the course

This course focuses on providing a global perspective on the formative moments of 19th century Romanian literature. I will cross-culturally analyze the role of literature in the formation of the "nation" and the impact of national ideas on literature. The perspective offered is interdisciplinary and open to all students who wish to understand the particularities of Romanian culture in the 19th century.
