Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar will explore plays by various contemporary authors (from the 90s to the present day) with a focus on their potential to challenge the audience. We will analyse the texts in terms of their strategies to intrigue, to excite, to irritate, to tease or to perplex the readers/spectators. The dramatic methods employed may aim at deconstructing traditional modes of perception, moral orthodoxies or distinctions between reality and fiction as well as between different levels of fictionality.
