Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course will give an introduction to basic questions of literary studies, such as text analysis, literary interpretation and literary theory. It will also acquaint students with literary terminology and its practical application and give a survey of the major literary genres and the special problems relating to them.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The course aims at providing students with a critical toolkit enabling them to understand and use basic concepts of literary criticism, and, by applying these procedures, to approach and analyse literary texts autonomously.
