Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

"Creativity" cannot be taught. Still, "Creative Writing" is a discipline that has its own set of rules and techniques. This course intends to encourage students to trust their imagination and command of the English language in order to produce texts (in a variety of formats, genres and styles). Participants must be prepared to read/present their texts and to have these criticized in class.
Method: Communicative language practice, developing skills and strategies for producing original texts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation and portfolio of texts (number of tasks/assignments to be agreed upon in the first session).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To help students produce and present English-language texts.
