Aims, contents and method of the course

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Introducing beginners to the history and literature of the English Renaissance; alerting students to the distinctive features of the Elizabethan mind and world-view, the perception of contemporary gender roles and styles of writing; advancing students' interpretative skills and cross-cultural understanding.
Examination topics
Multi-media based lecture course (PPT, internet, audio and/or video presentations of songs, plays and films) combined with interactive teaching (opportunity for discussion, time for questions). - The course will be accompanied by a tutorial (Tutor: Mag. Julia Novak).
